seedlings

Thought I was already to go and was just planting my hatched seeds in the soil when I after ready the step by step guide again maybe it wasn't the best idea to use my 250w hps sodium until a week into growing?
The problem is if I don't use this the only other light I can give it currently is one 25w and one 40w I already own.

Is it just a money saving thing not too use the hps straight away or are the more implications?

one last thing, I am using the 25 and 40w lights at the moment, is it ok to leave them on 24 hours at this stage?

what kind of bulbs are they? cfl's?

I used 400w MH right when they sprouted. Some people say its good, while other bad because it can burn em. I have my HPS around 20 inches from the tops and they are doing fine.

nah there just normal bulbs, I know they aren't going to give enough light, i was just wondering if it was ok to stick with these while I buy some cfl's or I should use my hps while I get my cfl's or if I could just use my hps sodium straight away providing its far enough away? many thanks

get rid of the normal bulbs and get som cfl their cheep and work for veg

and cut your light to 18/6

will move to cfl's as soon as i can get some but in the mean time what should i use out of my two options?

use the hps make sure its not to close thats alluntill u get tose cfl's

what about 3 40watt floro for 5 seedlings??!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that should be ok too maybe better cuase u could have them real close unlike the other light bulb
