Thanks for the info. im running the mars hydro fc e6500 do i need to add co2 for this light?
It all comes down to the PPFD level you're aiming for...
If you're goin with over 1000 PPFD them its a good idea to introduce co2. On the other hand, if you're not over a 1000 you can run your grow without it. And dont get me wrong, a 1000PPFD is about 43.20 DLI for a 12/12 light cycle, which is definitely worth considering.
I'm a fan of selecting a light that's a bit more powerful than needed for my space, and then adjusting its intensity to hit my desired PPFD. This not only prolongs the life of the lights by not running them at full blast, but it also helps you save on your electricity bill. It's a win-win situation in my book!
PPFD that I aim for:
200-400 Seedlings
400-600 Veg
600-1000 Bloom
Ive seen some studies from Dr. Bruce Bugbee wich he says that "cannabis is life on a fast lane" and you can throw high PPFD levels since the beggining and it will handle it. But for my self I try to aim for the economic side of things
Notice that I grow on a 3x3 tent and only for my needs, so a dont try to push it too much. cause once you push it one side for example lights, you have to push it everything else, like water, nutrients, air, temps, co2 etc..
