Seedlings under 300W?

I put my seedlings (3 days old) under a 68W CFL (~300W equivalent) and now they aren't doing so hot.

Is this too much light for them?

I am trying to figure out what is killing them.

The soil was also sprayed with Miracle Grow plant food and honestly I believe this to be the problem (chemical burn).

What do you guys think?

especially little tiny seedlings, fertilizing is not necessary, could be harmful. GF+MG=TGF(total garden failure) squared. The light could be wrong too or it could be too far away, etc.

ya your gonna want soil that doesnt have time based nutes in it for sure. just go to the local hydro store and ask for some soil with no food in it or go grab promix from home depot. i put worm castings in mine and my seedling loved it. im def not a pro but read quite a bit

I would gently flush with ph 6.5 plain water, let it drain for moist only soil, and put in clear a dome under cfl with temp 75F and hope for best.
