I suspect you either give them so much water they don't feel like working for it or they are too cold, so what's the temp?

That said, I don't know what stage they were in when you planted them, maybe you just need a bit more patience.

i dont think i overwatered them. pre soaked the rock wool for an hour and rock wool always retains 18% oxygen.. but temp gets pretty low at night. around 61 f but when lights are on its around 72 73 fahrenheit so i dont think thats it either.. ive read that temps should be within 15 degrees and the plants will be fine or is that wrong? humidity is around 70....they had been germinating for a few days id say the root coming out of shell was a half inch before i put them in rock wool. should i of waited? or do you mean i need to wait for these ones to grow?

It can take a few days for the small root to (re)attach itself to its surroundings during which it may seem like it's not doing much at all. I hardly ever water seedlings though, got to let them make an effort and search for water. I never spray for the same reason.

It will also have to grow bigger leafs first before it really starts to grow. So yeah I agree, they look ok for 5 days.

I always keep the light on 24h at that stage, keeps the temp constant.

i know your not supposed to water seedlings. i was just giving them low ph water so the rock wool ph would drop or should i just let it ride out?

i planted another seed in promix hp soil in a foam cup 2 days ago.. came down this morning and its sprouted right up the catyledons are opening up and looking way better than all the rest of my other ones :( is it because i put my pre germed seed right in soil so the roots dont need time to reattach? causing that one to start growing faster than the others

I'd ride it out, but frankly I usually don't ph seedling medium either. I use weak mineral water that's at ph 6.1, but have used 7.3 tapwater as well. It just doesnt make a huge difference at that stage for seedlings. I.o.w. I'd give them some more time and nothng else.

The low ph water you gave, did you make a small amount of it and/or let ot stabilize first?

Yeah everytime you transplant a plant, she will take some extra time, even at that age. that's why I usually don't pre germinate with tissues and stuff. It differs per strain too, some can handle it better than others. It also looks better because soil is a much richer and diverse environment.

When growing on soil I would not use rock wool blocks, not saying they are bad, and it's of no help at this point, but I've had a lot of success germinating in jiffy plugs, I use "spongepots" actually, a smaller version. Rapid Rooter is another one. Just had a bad batch of seeds but usually get 100% results in 1-4 days. It's like a sturdy and spongy piece of soil in which they germinate. Let me put it this way: it's like the tissue and rock wool cube in one.

In short, it's definitely best for the plant to plant the seed directly into the (light top layer) soil. Just how nature does it. A downside is that you may waste space and time on planting seeds that don't germinate at all, which you'd notice with pre-germinating.

You can help get the shell off by placing a dime sized piece of wet paper cloth on the head of the plant for about 5 minutes, and then the shell should just slide off with your assistance. If it doesn't slide off with ease, put the cloth on longer.

Otherwise, your plants look like they should.
