Seedlings not growing please help

Hi

I germinated my seeds and put them in the window until they got their first set of leaves now I have put them under the lamp they haven't grown at all it's only been 3 days but on my last grow it only took about 5 days until I had to transplant them

They have had no nutes
No damage on any of the leaves
Look healthy
Not over watered
Just simply aren't growing

Any ideas thanks

They are now putting all there effort into the root structure, this is a good sign.Do not rush them the seedlings do what there doing and they will be fine, put them on about 0.5/0.8 ec,and they will mop up the gravy, the seedlings at that age benefit from something like rhizatonic or super thrive along with the base nutes ,this will aid in the roots becoming strong,it's not nessassery but will not harm them.

There is probebly no need to add anything if they look healthy no need to do anything just love them nurture them till they become strong ,teen ages.Let the plants be no need to rush a plant of any age will tell you if there is a problem, but they sound has though there doing ok.once the seedlings are at a age where they dry out really fast then transplant,I have found but by letting them get a little root bound helps them fly up once they hit the larger pots and are put under the bigger lights,if you have hps or hid lighting, that is.

Peace tyke

Have patience.
If problem persists, I once had seedlings stay seedlings because I foolishly put them in big pots of seedling mix potting soil - too low nitrogen. They stunted in the seedling stage for two months until I transplanted them into richer soil, then they took off.

As mentioned above, be patient, some seedlings (strains) take longer than what you think is average. Just do what you are doing, and make sure you have a decent light far enough away so you don't overheat them, but close enough so they won't stretch. Good luck

I have just turned a plant over too see what's going on with the roots and they have a very thin root system but I can only see about 6 lines going through the soil

On my last grow I transplanted these after 5 days on the light and they had hundreds of roots showing and thicker too

What's going on?

In the world of homebrewing beer, there's a saying: "Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew."
In the world of homegrowing, there should be a saying: "Relax, don't worry, have some cannabis."
As Tyke wrote, the plant needs to build out its root structure. If it looks healthy, and you're doing what you should (e.g. giving enough light, not overwatering, not overfeeding), all is good.

What kind of lamp did you put it under?

I'll assume it's a lamp capable of growing plants, but a friend once tried using an incandescent flood with tremendous fail so, never know.

I'll jump on the patience train though, yeah. Took me about four grows to learn patience, and to trust nature to do its thing.

600w lamp

I still think they are the same size as when I took them out the window

I don't know if I should of it a couple of days then just transplant them into 15L pots and see if that makes them take off

Growing big Buddha blue cheese
Coco natural medium
600w lamp
Temp 24C

got 28 plants all of them but one look completely healthy.
The one as got abit of yellow on it leaves

Thank you

Sorry if I missed it. HPS, LED?

Lamp too close? My 600W LED was causing all sorts of issues that didn't look anything like a light problem. It was a too much light problem, vs. a heat issue.

You went from ambient light to very high intensity it sounds like and stunted them. They'll be fine. Once they start growing they'll blow up lol. It's called acclimation, if would be good for you to read into.

Cannabis isn't for the impatient. It takes 4-6 months to grow a plant depending on strain. If you want to cut it down you have to make sacrifices. Like growing autoflowers... and even then you still go 3-4months...

If it looks healthy, its healthy, leave it be, and don't go exposing roots to 600w high intensity light to see if they exist.... thats like cutting your chest open to see if your hearts beating.... if the leaves are healthy, its got roots. If you feel a pulse, don't expose the heart.....

I only have a minimal number of grows under my belt but the one thing I have learned since my first grow is that, FOR ME, patience is easily 80% of a SUCCESSFUL grow (good yield, taste, buzz, smell, etc.) The simpler I have started to keep things and allow the ladies to do what they do, the more they reward me in the end. It's hard to not want the ladies to show growth daily, but as others have mentioned, root development, strain, acclimation to environmental changes, etc. all play a part in growth cycle. The ladies will do you proud in the end.

Excellent analogy and advice!
