my seedlings keep dying on me.the tip of the leaves started turning yellow. How long should the root come out of the shell before i plant it in a jiffy and how long should i have the seedlings in the dome for. I have 90 seeds on the way and i want it to be perfect. please help. how often should i water them.

get rid of the dome, and dont water them(after you have germed the plant and have it in soil and soaked the soil) unless the top 1" ofthe soil is dry to the touch... overwatering will kill em quicker than anything but heat stress and nuteburn.

Soak the soil and THEN plant the seed, and you don't need to water it for a while. You could use the dome for maybe the first initial 24 hours of germination, it would get the shells to crack a bit faster,

yea get rid of the dome no point for it after the plant has sprouted ive never even used one other for clones.

Hey Everyone.

I am having a slight problemo, very similar to whereswaldosBUD. My little seedlings which are in soil and a week and a half old are suddenly curling up and wilting. They are retaining their green hue but they are thinning on the stem and the leaves are withering in on themselves like a closing hand. As interesting as this is I would rather not have this happen to my precious PPPs.

I have them under 3 15w LED grow lamps.
Some are in cups and some in seedling trays. They seem to be wilting in the seedling trays mostly.

Heres a question... Am I over watering?

Here's another question... How long can a seedling grow in a seedling tray before it gets root bound?
