Seedling Leaves Curling Down?

Pictures are all of the same plant, but in the background you can see it effects them all to some degree.

They are under 4x2" T5's like an inch or 2 away. In canopy temps (inch or so from bulbs) range from 70-84 degrees over the coarse of 24 hrs of light (80+ for only an hr or so). Humidity is 45-55%. They are in fox farm ocean forest. 8 days since seeds touched water.

It looks kind of light they are over watered, but the pots were light and the tops were dry and they still had the down curling leaf effect. I have since watered because i didn't want them to go totally dry but i don't think they were over watered.

Never grown from seeds, probably making something out of nothing.

FFOF can be a little hot for some seedlings but yours seem to be handling it just fine. Put a fan on them if you don't have one running already. They should take off soon.

so they're just over a week old? how long was it in between waterings? they look good, i wouldn't worry too much. sounds like you're on top of it! :peace:

ETA: i found my T5 does best at 4 inches...could the lights be too close?

more holes in bottom of cup

Thank you both. I think your two suggestions were right on The solo cups needed bigger drainage holes and the babies needed a fan blowing on them. Made these two adjustments and 4/5 seedlings leaves r no longer curling down, the one that was the worst still is curled slightly but she/he looks great and is growing fine so im not worried. I don't think it had anything to do with the soil being too hot (no signs of burn at all) i think it was more to do with the soil not draining as well as it needed and the plants not being able to excrete enough water out of their leaves because of the lack of airflow.

Will be posting more pics tonight on my journal. They have really taken off. Follow along and watch the little ones grow into HOPEFULLY beautiful ladies!

Looks like heeat stress, my clones reacted the same waywhen they were left under a cfl w/ a reflector for three days.

Leaves go curly/ripply and even turn yellow from in the middle out

temps in their room have never exceeded 84 degrees, they were never heat stressed. The issue was lack of airflow over them. Added a fan and they have all perked up, may have given then a bit too much wind as they r looking a little rippled but all seem very healthy.

here is a pic of the same plant. She looks great, except one set of leaves decided to only form 2. Pretty sure this has happened to me before tho.
