Seedling grow medium??

whats the recommended grow medium for my 5 day old seedlings. currently they have cracked and beginning to sprout up. I have them in the 1nch starter cubes for now and debating whether or not to go with the 4inch rockwool cubes or not. I also have hydroton as my medium once my plants start to get a root system going. my current setup has the ability to either drip feed now or ebb n flow flood table (I will use this method once my roots are established) I had a lot of prob with my previous grow (first) and really want to eliminate them early and do things right from the start this time around.

I think net pots would work great in pebbles. I use NFT and I need to use rock wool or net pots. Last time I went from 10cm SOIL which worked.

I do have 6 inch net pots that I considered using filled with hydroton to go with my starter cubes if I didn't use the 4inch cubes. I would then place those 6 inch pots in my 3 gallon pots for the rest of the grow.
