seed travels

hi

im just getting into learning about growin and all that but im totally fascinated by how different strains make it back to the north american or european continent. how do seed banks work? do they go travel around the world collecting seeds and then bring them back to their home and breed them? i ask this becuase i came across a bunch of strains, loatian, Malawi, thai, burmese, colombian, etc. etc. it just boggles my mind how they all find their way to the west to be breeded and then sold

most just order them to canada where we dont give a shit about seeds and go from there but its not hard to get seeds back if your just traveling hind one in a pocket here or there
