seed question...feminized or not

looking at the prices of NYC Sour I can get 40 ish seeds that are not feminized for the same price as about 10 feminized.... reading about feminized seeds is rather confusing on the pros and cons and a lot of what I read don't really tell me what im looking for....are feminized seeds worth it...I have become pretty good at cloning so I would think out of 40 seeds I would get enough ladies to find a few good mothers... but with feminized Im assured of females (or so I would think)... ...what are the pros and cons of feminized from a growers prospective?????

For my first 2 grows I used reg seeds and I was averaging 6 fems out of 10, my last grow i used 7 femmed seeds and ended up with 2 hemies, I think alot is down to personal preference if you're gonna start 40 reg seeds then law of odds says they're not all gonna be male, if you're gonna buy 40 seeds and start them in 2's and 3's then it's really anyone's guess what your gonna end up with, myself i'm sticking with fem's they may not be 100% but even a hermie is good for free seeds if you've got somewhere seperate to grow it.

Sorry, I didn't read your post properly, if you're after a couple of mother plants go with reg seeds or if you've already had experience grow some cuttings. The short and sweet is reg seeds could be worthwhile or a waste of time give or take its 50/50, whereas fem seeds is more like 90/10 (based on what i've read not my experience).

as long as you don't mind starting & killing a few males, 40 regular seeds should give you at least 20 females to pick from for a few good mothers,10 femmed seeds will give you about 9-10 females to pick from.

get some dutch master reverse for those hermies.the stuff really works.

id say go with the unfeminized youl most likely get more than 10 fem outta 40 seeds

Here is how I look at it... You get 40 seeds, you germ 40 seeds, hope ya get 35 germed, if you use soil, you use a pot, use soil, and then use nutes for 40 plants in the grow phase, then if you are lucky you see sex before bloom, if not you then put 35 plants, which take up a large amount of space into bloom, then you spend bloom nutes on these, and if you end up with 10 female, you just wasted lots of nutes in grow & flower and wasted lots of soil, you then cut down plants you took so much time and effort growing, toss out the dirt into your yard as you cant reuse it, or you shouldnt reuse it.
