Seed preservation?

what is the method of long term seed storage? Freezing? In a jar? Temperature and heat controlled paper envelope ?
Living in a state that will be that last to legalize cannabis , I have an exstensive, early breeding program that produces a lot of feminized autoflower seeds. I want to make sure I can store them until I can distribute them..... legally.

I store in a non-transparent jar, in the fridge (not the freezer)

ive seen seeds pop that are over 5 years old with no real storage other then low heat and no light.

I agree with @ISK , but I have to keep mine in medical bottles under the house. So I've had success with 9 year old seeds , but I think you loose a few every year.
