Hi all, I,m new to RIU and would like to thank everyone for all the great info. My question to ya all is, with all the different seed breeders out there are some better than others? I've read on here that Serious seed are good, so I'm going to go with Serious Seeds White Russian and would like to get 1 or 2 more when I make my order. I haven't seen anything about Barneys seeds, but I'd like to try a few of Barneys Red Dragon so any info on Red Dragon would be of help. The other one I have in mind is TH seeds- The A Train. Any info on these breeders would be great. All of my growing will be done outside so if you know of any of those don't do well outside let me know. Or for that matter if you know of any other strains I'd be up for that. Thanks to all of you at RIU:bigjoint:.

Yes, most defiantly there are differences!!

But if a seed mfg is a good one.. That doesn't mean that all seeds from them are good. Id recommend just reading this section of the forum, and seeing what others say.

Your best bet is to go about it like this. Visit this site as a seed search engine http://www.pickandmixseeds.co.uk/

Then if you see something you like. Go to that mfg website & get more info. Ask the forum about it, or do a search on the previous topics about it.

Then when you decide to order. Check prices. I recommend Attitude seed bank (as 80% of us here would recommend them also). You can also type the strain into google. Thats another good way to shop for the seed.

Good luck bongsmilie

Ohh yeah.. If youre in USA or Canada, Attitude will ship there. If youre anywhere else, you can pretty much buy strait from the company that makes the strain if you want.

There is a scale to the quality of the breeders, I personally rank them on strain quality and consistency.

You got like your bargain basement type companies, like nirvana and kc brains and mandala, these strains all provide reasonable weed that will get you stoned, most of nirvana's strains are quite reliable, but its not super fantastic smoke.

Then you got the wannabe's class these as companies like dutch passion and sensi want to appear like top end breeders, producing some nice names some nice pics and some reasonably expensive strains compared to the nirvana. Consistency wise, I think nirvana beat dutch passion.

Then you have the skankers, like pukka seeds and other such companies, that put a high price tag on their strains to make them seem good, but really they are a pile of shit, and one of the worst breeders available on the market.

Then there are companies like serious and paradise, who do their breeding well, you get a consistency in the plants and all of it grows into prime smokeables.

One particular breeder I think people should be wary of is soma seeds, while you can sometimes get some real amazing genetics, they are very very expensive, they don't sell very many packs and the seeds become old and then germination problems are encountered. They even fucked up big time once and muddle up stock of their nyc diesel fems which retail at nearly 200 bucks, a lot of people were complaining of males in their seeds. It became apparent later that soma outsourced his breeding work to colleagues and friends and that is how the muddle up happened.

speedy, thanks on that soma info - hadn't heard too much negative about them
thing is, the breeder situation can change - a decent name starts to vend out its name to make the quick buck
