security light

I'm curently growing under cfl's but read about the use of a security light use. has anyone tried this before? I have a good light liying around that I would use but would like to know if this has worked for anyone else?

Thats what I was thinking about doing. What type of bulb is in the light? Mine is faded and says 300 watts.

i have a 400W hps security light, gets very hot because of built in ballast, but I had great results. I pulled almost 3 oz dry from a Lowryder 2 plant. This time around I have a portable air conditioner blasting the hot air out a dryer vent. Also take off the glass cover, it just traps heat like an oven and have a fan blowing directly on the bulb.



It came pre wired up for three prong from a craigslist guy. 100 US for the HPS and also a 100W MH.

I would suggest replacing the bulbs on a used one, should take standard bulbs
