Second Timer Looking For Advice

This will be my second time growing
this time i have a closet that is 2'X4' and 8'high. it is in a bedroom in an apt so my main issue is ventilation but not too worried about the smell, its more the heat. i could open the door daily to allow new air in. I also plan on setting up an ebb and flow hydro system.
my main questions are
1.could i use HPS in such a small space w/o any extensive cooling system.
2. how many plants should i shoot for w/o overcrowding

eight plants at most and you're going to need some exhaust or a/c or w/e to deal with the heat....

I have a/c in the apt, will that be able to keep the closet cool w/ a 250 watt HPS? if not i will just be using 8 CFLs and now im thinking like 5 plants in hempy buckets rather than the ebb and flow

Any type of HID (HPS/MH) in a closet is probably going to need some exhaust..... I've never used a light with that low of wattage but they get hot especially if they're on over 12 hrs. You'll need one eventually though because you cant flower with CFLs

could i get away with using a 150w hps or would i be better off with 2 125W envirolites? according to most people envirolites work very well and produce little to no heat
