I am thinking flat white for the interior of my 2x4/plywood cab.I read good reviews for outside the home.I rather not do mylar/panda.I just want a durable paint with 75%+ reflectivity.Anyone use this or can offer suggestions and wether or not too prime or the use of acrylic or latex base?I presanded the wood.thks

Anything bright white is going to probably get you there. What's your beef with mylar or polyfilm? Polyfilm and mylar are both inexpensive and super easy to install and could be reused again on future endeavors. Plus, paint will be off-gassing for a while... Not sure how I would feel about that in a small enclosed cabinet... If you're dead set on painting, then do your thing. Priming or not is completely up to you and would be a personal choice. A double coat of your selected white paint would achieve the same result as buying primer and priming before painting.

I personally like titanium white as I know it's a high reflector but really any white paint will do. I'm sure the weather blocker will be great.

If I built just a frame then Panda film would be my choice. For longevity a double coat of flat white it is.I do not need the highest reflectivity for mother/clone/sog chambers. Not concerned about gas off, couple days between coats with vents on will extract the heaviest of gassing.thks
Any weatherbeater users please chime in.

I personally like Ceiling Paint. It is typically brighter white (higher concentration of titanium dioxide), will bond to bare wood, is inexpensive and can be bought in one quart container, if a gallon is too much.

TiO2 also has odor-absorbing qualities, which is nice when painting organic substrates.

By the way, I'm almost 100% certain that latex paint does not off-gas.

yes acrylic/latex water based paints give off less voc's (volatile organic compounds).I would not go oil based anyway.
I can get Sherwin Williams Duration for $55 a gal but the W/B on sale for $28 a gal sounds good enough.I should upgrade from the dollar store paintbrushes I have because they would absorb more water from the water based paint than a more advanced polyester brush from what I have read.I was hoping for a contractors opinion on here but looks like W/B or if Home Depots Behr if it has an attractive price when I visit later today.thks

Well I wound up getting H/D quart of Behr Premium Plus ultra pure white self priming interior flat.Says low odor zero voc.
It was $11 and change and for a dollar more I could have gotten a washable enamil (spell?),but I do not foliar spray any way and want something for my reflectorless ceiling.
