sealing a 8x8 room help

I have an 8x8 flower room with 2400 wants that I need some advice in sealing. The ceiling is drywalls as well as 2 other walls,the opposite walls are framed by 2x4s with 1/2" plywood. The floor is concrete but is lined with 45 mil pond liner which is sealed 6" up each wall. My question how would I best setup a vapour barrier and seal my door to ensure that I am cooling/heating efficiently? Do I paint with elastomeric paint, then line with panda plastic then insulate with 3/4" foam? all help is appreciated guys

tent. if not use the dryfoam insulation, great stuff. put widgets over the foam and staple panda to it that should be enough. 2400 wants is alot of wants lol

Yes, panda film will be your friend with this setup. It will keep moisture in your room and keep mold/mildew out.
You will want to have the panda film facing white side to your grow room and have the insulation behind it.
For the door grab some weather striping for the sides and a door sweep for the bottom.
Then attach strips of panda film on the door to overlay the gap between the door and frame about 4 inches (depending on which side opens).
Ensure you have good ventilation after this setup to keep moisture and heat at optimal levels.
Cool air intake near the bottom and heat exhaust near the top.
Then have a decent size fan (about 10-12 inches in diameter) to move the air around.

Thanks roscko. The lights are being cooled with a 8" super max fan and temps and humidity are perfect. The goal is sealing 100% absolutely no light or air exchange, so do u think I'm OK with not painting the walls before insulation? The door is poorly built to be honest there are a few light leaks in the weather stripping. should i cover the door on the inside with panda film and buy one of those zippers to make a door in the plastic?

that sheet should over lap the whole wall place part of the floor and ceiling (on the floor i rolled up the carpet and then tucked the film under that

u just use tape loop and place them all over then stick it up ..............then the place it over laps just tape it down ..............tuck the poly sheeting under it and then tape to the wall


as for your door outlets and windows that u can cut out with a razor blade and then tape the poly to the wood

For a room, I used 6 mil poly with 3/4 inch XPS and tuck tape on the seams to cover the concrete floor.

The door.....I never made it that far.....But on a cheap exterior door with no additional insulation, I have seen it sweat. So I'd be interested on what works well.
