Sea of green 600 watt HPS

I'm a new grower, on my 4th week of flowering.

I'm trying to start the Sea of Green technique with a 4x4 area.

My idea was to put 4 plants per 2x2 area and have 4 stages of flowering plants, so that I would get 4 plants harvest every 2 weeks.

My main question was, could a 600 watt HPS work with this idea, or should I wait until I get a better light?

Should I put 9 1 gallon pots per 2x2 or 4 3 gallons?
or less?

Anyway, looking forward to the feedback. Thanks :D

the sea of green should utilize the full 4x4 area with the same age plants.

It's just a 4x4 propagation tray, the drain off leads to my outside garden, and the plants are fed through a water bucket.
Wouldn't you be able to have 4 different age cycles if you just flowered from clones?

If you flower from well rooted clones, you don't really need any age cycle. I just put the new ones in and take tho old ones out and smoke bongsmiliethem. I ran an op with a 3 x 3 table under a 600w light and got 3 plants per week(about 2-3oz) out of it for a long time, over a year and never used anything else.

Room 003.jpgIn this photo there are not only three different age plants there are two different strains. White Widow are the taller ones, the shorter ones are PPP. (Lights are raised for pic)

I only recently started using a bigger space but still use one tank for two 3 x 6 tables put the newest in one end, and the oldest out to smoke. Same nute mix from potting to smoking.

I used to try to flush them in the last days but it didn't seem to make any difference to the smoke that I could tell.

One tank one tray and one light.

Nice setup kpw555.

I was talking to my buddy who got me into growing and he said I could put as many as I want.
I was thinking 9 1 gallons per 2x2 corner so 36 total plants and 4 different cycles.

I'm currently just giving them nutes by hand since I just got into growing, I'm experimenting before I get into reservoirs etc.

ATM I just have a 4x4 propagation tray in my flower room, and a 2x2 tray in my veg room for the moms as well as a little cloning dome, which gives me roots every 2-3 weeks.

My only problem atm is with white powder mold. I bought a sulfur burner, but my buddy told me not to use it until the flowering plants are done which is what is holding off the SoG setup.

Right now I have 6 Blue dreams, 1 O Giesel, and a Platinum Bubba under the 600 watt HPS in the 4x4 area.

I guess I have to wait for those to finish until I can start the SoG. I think I will make a journal when I do.

I'm thinking about going on a cloning mission and selling them to dispensaries for $5 a clone.

That should get me some extra money in the meantime to get a few more upgrades like a reverse osmosis system and a dehumidifier.

Thanks for your reply :)

Heck yeah, it's your vision and zen that make the garden. As long as you meet the plants very basic needs it is a very forgiving and naturally thriving plant.

I'm looking foreword to your journal.:-o

I have quite a few pictures of my current grow which is my first grow ever. 600 watt HPS . I wonder if I should make a journal. Do many people read them?
By the looks of yours yes.

I'm going to go read up on your 18 pages lol.
