so i got my little plant and was wondering everyones opinion and advice on which technique to use and when i should start it. oh and i guess i also forgot about super cropping

I top at a young age and when it gets big enough I pinch them (lst) and sometimes use a ziptie with washers to wigh them down depending on the light and desired height

With a sativa dominant strain I like to top the main stem and other larger top stems. With Indica's I prefer LST and super cropping. Scrogging is a great method too, but requires more work. Can't go wrong with topping though IMO, just do it early in veg or the very beginning of flower.

It's not about what's the "best" technique, it's about what's best for you. Some growers would benefit more than others with certain techniques and vice-verse. For example if you have limited vertical space it would be best for you to try some sort of LST to get her to a lowest profile possible or a SCRoG to get a low even canopy. It all comes down to what kind of space and lighting you have and what technique(s) would suite you best. I suggest if you're a novice grower start with a basic setup first, get familiarized with how she grows and then at a later grow try some more advanced techniques, get one under your belt first then try and swim in the deep end.
