SCROG for moms. any reason this wont work?

so i have run into the problem of my moms getting too tall. even with topping them regularly the canopy keeps moving up. i have 9 moms in a 4x4 tray with 1 600w above. while the canopy is healthy, it keeps moving up closer and closer to the light and everything below the canopy is wilting and dieing. so when i do take cuttings there isnt much vegitation left to support the plants.
So i have decided to do a SCROG set up for my moms (havnt taken the leap yet) just 2 plants. each in 20gal tubs and a 4x4 screen about 30" up from the soil line. if anyone sees a reason this would be a bad idea please let me know.

ya i have querkle, purp haze, and white russian was tryin to keep 3 of each goin so i wouldnt stress out just 1 plant when i hack her up lol. got a lil outta control
