Screen paint

With all this hub-abub about media rooms.......

Some do the projectors and use a special 'screen paint' (most likely with a lot of silver) for max reflection.

Anyone try it in a a grow room? If plants only use the visual spectrum (ie: 400-800nM) then that paint should work well.

Home theater & hifi are subjects that are of great interest to me,with that being said i researched the shit out of screen paint alternatives before buying a projector & screen for my theater.

I went to see in person 2 peoples home made screens using screen paint,i was not impressed,infact it reminded me very much of regular wall paint so much that we tried the projector on a regular white wall painted with low gloss paint.

Both the regular wall & screen paint looked very close to me,i think from what ive seen that screen paint is an over priced rip off.

Its supposed to look like regular white paint to blend in under 'normal' conditions, no?

But that being said (and seein the error of my thought stream), think a pull down screen to work well (while being WAY over priced for the benny)?

Im sure a pull down screen would work,ya might find a few of them in school dumpsters on summer break when the staff cleans out the school.
