Scale or prop roots?

Was a little alarmed to see these bumps at the base of my main stalks when trimming some leaves. Only at the base of stalks and no where else. Before applying anything without knowing for sure I did some research and came up with 2 options. EIther scale/sucking insects or prop roots. I covered some of the bumps with soil overnight and some parts started protruding outwards as what seems to be new roots as can be see in the first pic to the right side of stalk, and last pic to the left side of the stalk. Some spots stayed the same. Bumps are hard and cannot be squished. Just wanted to be 100% sure before I switch to flower that I don’t have an issue. And if I do any advice is welcomed!
