S.A.G.E.

The name says it all ! Sativa Afghani Genetic Equilibrium™, a well balanced Haze crossed with a robust Indica that produces a power- packed plant with over 20 % T.H.C. Fast becoming a legend, S.A.G.E.™ took 2nd place in the blind test of the 2001 High Times Cannabis Cup also the hash made out of this plant won 1st place in 2000, both of these victories were based on overall strength and quality. High T.H.C. and low C.B.D. make this plant a perfect head stash variety. Spicy sandalwood flavor combined with a long lasting and uplifting high make this the plant for those who must have the best. Longer flowering time is rewarded with large buds that will seem to double in size in the last few weeks.

Ok Guys here I go again.. Can't live without the herb ,so going to see this one out to the end. Hopefully nothing goes wrong.. so send me some good vibes ! LoL

To mark the occasion I spashed out on some primo beans, TH Seeds SAGE. I have went SAGE because it's one of the best strains out there, apparently and true enough I have never heard anything other than SAGE is DANK ,anywhere on the net. I've read it is killer in every way, and I've also read it's a very hardy and resilient plant. The thing that really won me over is the dude from TH Seeds saying it was all he ever smoked for 10 years.. now that tells you something!

Now here's the specs for the grow:

250 watt hps

Bit of a gamble on some cheap garden centre potting compost, with '4-6 weeks of food' , not to be used with lime hating plants, which obviously suggests there's some lime in there.. that's a good thing right? Praying this works out ok, last time I bought garden centre potting compost It destroyed my seedlings.

Here's the kicker, going to do this entire grow with a cheap bottle of chilli food! NPK is like 3:1:4 , So it meets the criteria for 'low P', which some of the experienced horticulturists on here are always trying to teach people. Chillies are a bit like cannabis anyway aren't they? They produce lots of leaves, then have a flowering and fruiting period.. kind of similar to cannabis producing buds. This stuff gets rave reviews with chilli growers.. so it's going to be very interesting, sure enough my chilli plant looks fantastic. Just not happy with biobizz anymore, always seem to get some issues when using it, time for the simple approach.

Think I am going to top her at the 2nd node.

I actually popped this seed, 6 days ago.

And she had some problems coming up, she stalled and stalled and I checked and she was stuck.. so I took off her seed husk by hand and she came up looking very sick looking. Didn't think she would make it at this point .

But, I put her in a little pot of soil, to support that sick looking stem and she perked right up and now looks like she's gonna make it!

Stay tune for weekly updates.

Ok here she is after 1 week, she made it! and is looking pretty nice now.

I actually made the most noob mistake ever as well at day 2 or so.. I knocked the damn pot over and she came out taproot and all... thought I had royally screwed up.

BUT, I got a new pot and filled it with soil. ( btw this soil is full of food, and it hasn't burned her yet) , made a hole the entire way down with a screwdriver and carefully put her into it and watered her in..

And she just kept right on growing.. looking to be the hardy plant adam from th seeds says it is.

2 weeks old today.

I've been growing this plant on a 16/8 light schedule and have been keeping it 15 inches underneath the 250 watt hps.

It's been really hot around here the last few days and it hasn't slowed growth down at all. Have just had to water it a few extra times, but still no feeding as the soil comes with 4-6 weeks food. Means I can transplant it soon and still not have to feed it for a month.

I have 1 little weird issue, It still hasn't rooted in this pot despite being in it for nearly the entire 2 weeks. That is really slow in my book. If I think back to C99 I think it was slow to root as well but, I would have thought with the size this plant has got and how healthy it looks it would be showing roots and ready for a transplant by now. I just hope it's genetic and nothing to do with me dropping her at the beginning. I wasn't going to top her, but now I'm considering it because root growth goes mental after a topping I have noticed. I'll give it to tomorrow and if it isn't showing roots I'll top it.

Ok, So she did root by day 15 after all, so I transplanted her into her final 3 gal pot yesterday. But I went ahead and topped it today at the 5th node anyway. She has got a pretty strong skunky smell to her already considering how small she is, I'm hoping it doesn't get really bad. She is like 4 inches tall. Going to wait until the lower branches have responded and caught up to the top and then flower her. Should be about a week. Here she is after her topping, she took it in her stride.

Great start to your next grow puff!

I've heard SAGE is a good breeder too. Stable pheno's....

I love this stuff. Grew it outdoors 2 years ago throughout a wet damp summer into rainy fall. Performed like a champ and an outstanding high. Made great iso-hash from it.

see4 yeah man ,I Heard the same very stable strain, and thanks! Barnbuster, thanks for chiming in man, good to see it's not just hype.
