Same strain, different seed bank, massive price difference

Hey guys,

For my first grow the price of this particular strain that I'm interested in varies greatly. For example it goes from £20 right up to £150 depending on the seed bank. (This is for 10 seeds, not feminized).

I'd like to know if anyone has any experience dealing with same strained plants from different seed banks. Can you notice a difference?

I'm tempted to order from what's considered the best but at the same time I don't want to be simply pay for a brand name, where actually the product is identical to its significantly cheaper cousin.

I'd like to hear your experiences,

Thanks

Sensi Seeds Jack Herer is the original and a one and only.
The knockoff's seeds may grow out to be some decent smoke, but the effects won't be the same as Sensi's.
The knockoff's are using a varying mix of Haze, Northern Light #5, and Skunk #1 to make up their Jack.
Sensi finally revealed their lineage for Jack is Haze x Shiva Skunk.
Now Shiva Skunk is Northern Lights #5 x Skunk #1, but Sensi's Shiva Skunk parent plant is a true standout and separates the original from the imitators.
The alternatives to paying Sensi's high per pack prices are:
- Order Sensi's Jack Herer through a seedbank like the Single Seed Centre and only order 5 (instead of the 10 that comes in the standard breeders pack, you pay around half the price but still have a chance of finding a good mother).
- Order through Sannie's Seeds, they have a version of Jack Herer (known as Jack F6), but they used actual seeds from Sensi to start it out though, once established it became an inbreed line. As stated above, most breeder's just use a mix of Haze, NL #5, and Skunk #1 to make up their own version of Jack. Here Sannie's at least had the good taste to realize that it was a fools task to recreate the original, so they used the original to start a breeding program where they could make improvements to the strain and refine it to meet their specific goals. From what I hear it's a faithful representation of one of the Haze leaning phenotypes of the original. That being said, it potentially takes longer to flower then the original due to the Haze being so dominant in Jack F6.

I'm thinking of ordering direct from sensi seeds to avoid the possibility of someone else providing me with fakes. I'm in the UK, so I have no idea on who's a reputable seller or not.

On the one side I'm thinking there has to be potentially millions of these seeds out there right? On the other, I'd rather not risk it. My problem is though, this is my first grow so I don't want to mess it up.

*Thanks for your posts. I'm just going to order them direct from sensi.

Cheers
