Safe to use surge protecter in grow tent?

So just got my grow tent in and was setting everything up, is it safe to have a surge protecter in the tent to plug up like my humidifier and fans and other small things? I have my grow light plugged up to a outlet outside the tent but ran my surge protecter inside bc my fans cables aren’t long enough. So is it safe to have it in the tent when the humidity is around like 60% to 70%?
I know nothing about electricity really so just wanna be safe.

All I know is, I have about 10 things all plugged into one socket lol I think a surge protector will be fine

Didn’t read title, probably not in a grow tent. I used a timer in my grow space for a couple grows. Well it eventually stopped working and wouldn’t turn off unless I unplugged it. Prob not the best for the metals inside of the surge protector and could possibly become a fire hazard after a while.
