S2000 vs C5 Z06

I just can't make up my mind... I am a car guy so neither car would stay stock for long... Now my budget is 15k(could go up a bit) I want a 02+ Z06 not willing to settle for a 01 and under. And 02+ For and S2000.
I am more into drag racing and stock for stock the C5 would be quicker... But a 02+ C5 Z06 is about 14-17k right now... 02+ s2000's are 10k-12k... And yes I would plan to turbo the s2000 if i got it...Full Greedy or turbonetics kit for a 62/62 is about 4k and rated at 600+. I would do the work... But I would still have to get a thicker driveshaft, injectors, fuel pump, ecu, and then tune... Now with the C5 I would only have enough for bolt ons... intake, headers, exhaust, cam,and maybe heads(depending how cheap I can find a Z06 for...) And I don't know much about vettes, and how there driveshaft and other drivetrain parts will act with more torque. I was going to turbo my Crx(modded to hell lol) but am selling it.Should get a nice penny back. I want to try a RWD sports car haha (My tbucket doesn't count lol)

So....
Help with opinions LOL. And please no "Honda makes no power" "Chevy looks like a tampon" etc

ZO6 hands down...
Your reasoning? Both will make about the same power stock, the s2000 comes with forged internals... They have a few threads with 800whp builds, stock blocks other then arp headstuds, and springs/retainers. Remember my issue, the Z06 is more expensive so less money to throw parts at(initially) while the s2000 is cheaper and I can throw more money at it.

Same power stock?...ZO6 385-405hp....S2000 240hp.

800hp from a 2.0L running a stock Honda block/rotating assembly...the lifespan of that motor would be counted in meters.

Easy bolt-ons can get a LS motor into the 500's...stock block/internals and it will live for more than a couple passes.

No replacement for displacement!!

IDK where you are but a 2002+C5 can't be touched for less than $18K around here..I just checked Craigslist..there was one for $16 but it needed work. S2000's are right around $15K.
I wouldn't want either for drag racing...IRS and hard launches don't go together but out of the two I'd opt for the C5, lower rpm power band is more fun on the street. Those LS motors can make some big power without doing much to them.

Here's a discussion of the two on a z06 board:

Actually its a Factory Five Mark 2....but I know what your getting at. The ZO6 still has a better power to weight ratio.

Like I said the s2000 would be cheaper and I would have money to immediately throw at it. While the Z06 I could only afford bolt ons... Stock block 800whp s2000's last awhile as long as you aren't DDing it and if you are boost by gear solves all... stock block 800whp build... http://www.s2000.com/forums/forced-induction-nitrous/17553-s2000-800hp-drag-build.html The driveshaft would have to be upgraded to a 5.9 or might just swap out the entire diff. Not that pricey. I own import and domestic and I can tell you the "No replacement for displacement" Is straight bullshit. Forced induction changes the game. My Crx would kill my 27 t bucket and 41 torpedo. The T bucket has a 400 swap and other goodies and the 41 Torpedo has a 455 swap. Crx was stript, had a b16(1.6 liter DOHC) full bolt ons, ported head, +1mm valves, hondata(tuneable chip/ecu), 12:1 pistons, 150 shot, etc. Weighed 1800 pounds with me in it... Straight scary.

But anyway, Im looking for unbiased reviews(or as unbiased as can be) as I truly cannot pick which one I want... Both will end up making about the same power once moded, i just can't make up my mind... small, better looking roadster, revs to the moon, turns heads, and if ever wanted i can take the top down(I want a hardtop though... LOL) but doesn't make much torque, would have to put in more work then the zo6, and still gets about the same MPG as a Z06 LOL. The Z06 has the raw power, sounds great cam'd, easy to work on... But as we all know... Shit interior... Rattles, etc.

Their are quite a few on craiglslist right now in the 14-17k range.
Hell I even found a 2007 fake Z06 for 15k LOL Funny shit.
http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/5223689120.html

S2000's go as low as 8k... But I dont want a 00 or 01. 02+ are 10-12k

The link wont help as of course they will vote for the vette as it's a vette forum. I could go on a Honda forum and find the same. Im looking for unbiased answers. Maybe I should go on a dodge forum LMFAO

Just a random S2000. Cheapest I found was 7.5k but was salvage. this one is a 03 for 10k.

You would have to build the S2000 to the nuts to out track the vette, making it unreliable for the long haul.

Plus any asshole can work on a stock vette, simple design. Wouldn't';t have to find a "raped import" specialty shop just to get simple work done.

Plus the Honda looks like a Miata. We all know what everyone is thinking when a guy driving a Miata goes by. That will be you.

Well your comment no placement for displacement is true 100% of the time. It changes once boost enters the equation.

We'll I am a c5 z06 fan and that would be my choice as the market is flooded with power adders cheap. So would be a wise decision. You can add heft amounts of hp without doing major work to everuthijg in between. I lersonally believe in the long run a z06 would be cheaper and its just badass
on the other hand a s2000 boosted built w 600hp + would be ridiculous. Keep full exhaust on it to keep quiet and make a sleeper that would hurt others feelings.
Not only does the motor have to be heavily modded so does every piece from the radiator to the rear tires including conneting sub frames together and literally everything.
