RunnerBean's first grow. White Widow / Roadrunner.

Ok, this is my first ever grow, please feel free to comment on my journal, any advice is greatly appreciated and I will try to give as much detail as possible.

So here is my set-up:

Secret Jardin 100x100x200cm grow tent.
6400K(blue) 250w cfl with cheap reflector approx 3 to 4" from the top of the plant.
5" pots with Bat mix soil.
Bio Grow on standby, currently getting water only.

I am currently watering every 3rd day, taking 150-200ml per watering.
Temperature is 25-27*C During the day, falling to 19-20*C at night.
Humidity fluctuates between 40-60%
I have a fan which in the tent which is on about 3-4 hours each day ant 3 vent holes open at all times but no forced extraction yet.

I got 3 White Widow seeds from GHS and got 3 Roadrunner auto's free, which was nice.

Had a small disaster with 2 of the White Widow seeds that were germinated at the same time was my Roadrunner, with neither making it past a few days, so to cut a long story short I used my last WW seed and I ended up with....

Now, over the last couple of days I've noticed that the leaves on both plants have started to curl upwards at the tips.

After doing a bit of digging it seems that the Batmix soil is too strong for the young plant and this is the reason for the curling. This may also explain the problems I had in the beginning.

Any other theories or advice is welcomed!

Oh and a quick question,

I know that the preferred light cycles for the 2 plants are quite different so will Roadrunner Cope ok sharing the light cycle of the white widow.

I am planning to use the blue light on 18/6 for vegging then switch to the red light on 12/12 for flowering. Will the Roadrunner be ok with this?

Bit of an update.

I noticed yesterday a little bit of discolouration (yellow) of one of the main leaves on the White Widow, again sorry for the picture quality but any advice or opinion on what it might be would be appreciated.

I think it could be a little bit of burn form the batmix but any other theories would be appreciated.

So I decided it was time for a re-pot.





Re-potted into 7.5l pots.



Roadrunner is looking slightly odd, I think it was overdue its's repot so hopefully it will start to fill out now.
