If it smells like a fish tank, thats usually bad.
Ive noticed with the southern ag my res has an earthy dirt like smell, but it doesnt stink.

What, if anything, are you using for a sterilizer or beneficial bacteria?

i would pick one, not both. chlorine is better i think than h2o2.
I sterilize the pots with chlorine and then tried dropping some 3% h2o2 in the nutrient solution.
Sounds like a great idea! I though it would kill my plant, but in the right amount it might be very usefull, i realise i gotta study about plant nutrients

Youre right on it. Too much will kill it, but just a tiny bit will be beneficial.Sounds like a great idea! I though it would kill my plant, but in the right amount it might be very usefull, i realise i gotta study about plant nutrients
I don' seem to get any brighter, i have a bottle of chlorine it's 1 liter and 27g of sodium hypochlorite. Is this 100% or how much percentage is it? i have no clue how to get it to 3ppm if i don't know the percentage, it doesn´t say on the botttle.

the better stuff to use is calcium hypochlorite. usually called pool shock. it's a powder. if you can find that, it's 0.10 grams per 10 gallons of water to get 1ppm.
you can use the liquid but i'm not sure of how much to dose. you'll have to google that.
