roots browning need opinions

Hi guys this is my first grow and i know my plants are not getting the nutrients they need cause they are starting to die. I checked the roots and found them brown and gunky which I'm sure means that they are unable to get the nutrients from the water. My main concern is to figure out if this is root rot or is this just the nutrient solution gunking up the roots, i do have a lot of gunk in my tank from the gen hydro formula i was using (lucas formula with the gen hydro brand). I've read that the Gen Hydro micro formula is notorious for causing the roots to turn brown so anyways any help is appreciated here is a picture.

add airstones and get some food grade H202

Yep....needs air big time...you have root rot, id add some hygrozyme after you get that under control. Call your local hydro shop, get an air pump and stones. Tell them about the rot and they will help get things under control..do it asap

i have 2 8 inch stones it just doesnt make sense

how often are you changing your nutes? what is the water temps? what PPM is your res? i was having root issues b/c the water was 80F i got it done to 65F and now they are HUGE WHITE AND HAPPY!

Are you using molasses? Or any sweetner? You should also be using hygrozyme...is a must have for hydro in my opinion.

I'm changing the nutes very often like 3 days cause of the problem and trying to fix it... i have a bubbleponic system with two 8inch air stones and 4 plants, my water temp is questionable i'm going to have to look into that, what possible remedies do you have in mind for lowering the temperature? my ppm's stay at a very stable 450. No additives other then the nutes. I'm tellin ya this General hydroponic micro does get very brown and gunky but i'm still not sure exactly what the problem is.

My guess would water temp..you need a water chiller. They are pricey,

Are the walls in your rez slimy???? Maybe the brown slime!!!

That looks bad. Never have water over 75 degrees. Add h202 asap. Or buy Dutch Master Zone to treat the roots. If I were you I would start over.
I would not use GH products in Hydro as they are dirty as shit. Get some clean Synthetic Nutrients )))
