If you're using fabric pots, you should see roots start poking through the pot in a week or so

What's your definition of rootbound? I grow some pretty big plants in a gallon of coco.

Depends on your definition.
On the type of pot.
On the way you water and treat your coco.
On your veg light
On your environment.
All those things are going to influence your plants growth and root development.

Thanks for the concern. After 60% MC I let them dryback for multiple days. I will continue to check MC.

Who said they will root bound?
I suppose I am using the wrong term. I'm talking about when the roots start coming out of the bottom.

I think i get the o.p.'s question and i wonder if this is what you meant? Like, how long will it take his rooted clone to look like the top left pic, in 1gal coco? I'm gona say upwards of 30-45 days
