root help. mykos mycorrhizal innoculant & grotek mycrorizzhae

whats the difference between this innoculant and just mycrorizzhae itself? would i need grotek mycrorizzhae for transplanting or is the innoculant enough for the roots? or does the innoculant need to be used w the mycrorizzhae?

With these products always look at the cfu/gram of propagules. Between those, Mykos has 300 propagules per gram, while Grotek has 120/gram, so Mykos is more than twice as concentrated. Dynomyco is the one I'm using currently and it has 900 propagules per gram. So you can see, most Myco products talk a big game but are mostly just filler. Always look for the one with the highest propagule/gram count. Good luck!

tyvm for ur help. how many propagules is a danger zone amount like could cause burn? also is the innoculant the same as the mycorrizhae itself? or do i need both? idk if the innoculant helps the mycorrizhae at all or if its the same thing

You don't have to worry about burning with a myco product in general-you don't need to use much, just dust the roots when you transplant, that's it. Those products are essentially the same, just the wording is different.

I second this, also, look at products ingredients and see if its mycos or cut with other stuff like kelp, humic/fulvic acids etc.. I don't think a fair assessment is made when you run a microbial inoculant that is paired with other ingredients.

Dynomyco is the bomb diggity. Pun intended. I've tested quite a few inoculants and personally avoid anything containing Kelp due to the potential hormones/auxins in it that tend to cause some of my genetics to fox tail and do other weird stuff..

Very good info ty for this. I’m super new to growing but wanna ask what types of genetic issues have u heard of w the kelp? I had bought some dried already just to use in tea for deficiencies if needed but, liquid kelp i was wanting for starting seeds.

One of the worst things I noticed was it made my buds Fox Tail where they stack calyxes on top of another. It looks like this:

JJ is right about the Promix Connect, but I gave up trying to get it in the USA. If you live in Canada, you can get a sample of this stuff that will last a long time before you drop any cash on it.
