rockwool?

i was wondering about the pros and cons of rockwool. i understand its pretty easy to clone in rockwool, but can it cause root rot? wouldent one want a medium with better air supply? especially in a dwc type system?

i use 1" rockwool cubes to root clones in then i stick the whole cube in a 5" net basket and cover with hydroton. then stick them in my bubbler. never had any problems. in dwc the air supply for the roots comes from the airstones used in the res.

i use rockwool though the entire stage of the growth (well clones get the neopryne). rockwool is real easy to use but there are some cons in that, yes you can get root rot if you dont know what you are doing and less oxygen to the roots in rockwool.

Rockwool is a great median starter. I haven't had any problems using it. I would definatly recommend it.
