Rockwool Question

I socked the rockwool cubs for 24hours in 5.5ph. Planted the germinated seed under 125watts flourecents. But after a day the rockwool cubes dried up is this normal?

Do I add more water? thanks

Keep them moist/humid until they get the first set of leaves.

Yes, it is normal for rockwool to dry out over time. For seedlings, just soak the cubes in water every couple of days. Don't let them stand in water. Just soak the cubes and pour off any extra.

I ocver mine with saran wrap or put it in a gallon zip lock and air it out every day, keeps the humidity inside.

Just keep the cubes moist. Not soaked, just moist. They'll dry up if you don't tend to them.
