Rockwool Cubes to Hydroton

So i have a buddy who i want to grab some clones from only problem is they are in rockwool cubes and my medium is hydroton. I was wondering what i should do to solve this i know rockwool stays moist for awhile and don't want any root rot to happen i am using a versagrow drip system.

just set the rockwool cubes right into the hydroton . Shouldn't be a problem .

That's the method I use all the time. Put em rite in the hydroton.

What do I do about the cube retaining water?

But your right re water retention, you may have to adjust your drip atleast until roots are bigger. I don't like RW for that very reason but I just flood sparingly until the roots well established then flood every 15 minutes with no issues.

Are you using a drip system or flood and drain?
If you are using a drip system how many times would you say you water per day?

I'm doing F&D so not sure about drip feed. I only flood 3-4 times every 24 hours to start.

How big are the cubes?

I grow in rockwool myself . During vegg , I only water once a day . After I start to flower , I only water twice a day until they get bigger and need more .

I have always used them together....
