Rice Used in Drying/Curing Process

Ok im ready to get slapped internetedly for this one but here we go.
Years ago i might have known someone who might have been involved with large amount of cocaine. Now if you dont know the worst thing you can do with that shyt besides use it is get it moist, ne moisture from air or wherever will reduce the total weight of product. To combat this he put his stash in a lossly tied bag into a jar of uncooked rice. Now my thought process is this. We all know rice draws out moisture and should be scentless, if its not get new rice. Ne way the rice slowly draws out moisture im sure like a silicon packets but now as quickly plus its pretty much organic. I was think, if someone took a baby food jar poke small holes in top of jar then put some freshly cropped nug into the baby food jar and buried it in a container of rice would it increase drying rate> Has ne one ever tried this?
Seems plausable to me but as i learned so many times b4 what i think and what actually works are two differant things. Peace out

Id rather air dry when you pull your weed out it would smell like a dirty gymsock I would think also rice is used in the product of cloning mushrooms so it can go either way moldy or dried out

Pf-tek is growinf mushrooms on brown rice. Not at all what im talking about. Now im not saying take 4 ozs of undryede weed cram it into a small jars then dry. I know that would funk it up. im talking about maybe a couple of grams loosly in each container. About the smell honeslty i cant see it happeneing because you are still slow drying. But im not tring to argue really. Jus debating. Any other thoughts ne one?

I think it would work well. Some people use brown paper bags to dry them because the bags absorb the moisture. Using rice would work perfectly i would think. No need to do the baby jar thing, just stick your buds in a jar and pour some rice in. Its not like the rice is going to stick into the buds. I doubt that it would affect the smell as weed has a lot stronger smell than rice and rice doesnt even have a smell. I think its a good idea.

actually do this all the time, get a clean stocking and fill it with rice, throw it at the bottom of your jar, EXTREMELY increases drying time.
