Respect sex workers!

The oldest profession in the world will always be with us, through recession and boom. Some will always resort to this profession, and some will even choose it. Do we make it better by stigmatizing them? What does it say of our culture that most sex workers are women? Why are so many Americans addicted to internet porn? Why does Amsterdam have less rape and std related death than most other cities per capita? I'm not arguing for any kind of changes in legislation, simply expressing an opinion. It seems to me like the people who are sexually repressed have the problem, not the people who are happy with who they are.

So im guessing that you must not know that majority of prostitution in America is human trafficing (slavery). According to you its ok to kidnap 14 year old girls, addict them to heroin, prostitute them until they get AIDS, then leave them to die in an alley.

There's 14 year old prostitutes? Damn I've must not be looking hard enough. All i see is crusty 30+ year olds.

And there's a difference between prostitution and "pimps and hoes". Hell it's legal in Las Vegas.

I'm certain that there are laws and agencies to protect children and it is a good thing. That isn't what I'm talking about. I'm talking about treating people with respect. Even referring to the idea of prostitution some people feel the need to convey it as something filthy, like they aren't talking about someone's mom or someone's daughter.

Dude, differentiate. There's a difference between a professional sex worker, and an illegal prostitute. This is one of the main arguments to make prostitution legal, to make a safer environment for the girls.
