Removing tops above scrog?

I have some bushier plants growing at an exceptional rate. They have grown right thru the scrog and are getting close to hitting the lights. I am unable to move the lights up any further. Can I cut the highest tops off to get things more level or would a form of supercropping be best utilized in this case? They are not in flower yet so I am willing to do whatever I have to do get things for uniform.

Generally supercropping would be preferable to chopping but it seems you've painted yourself into a corner. If your plants are already encroaching on the lights before you've even started flowering, you have no room for any growth.

Might be best to cut them back to allow some room for flowering; a doubling in height is typical.

I have very limited height in my grow box. If a branch starts to get too tall, I tie a string to it and pull it sideways as much as I can. That leans it away from the light, giving it a little more room. It helps, but is limited.

This is cool I'll give it a go

If you can wait for a bit to flower it you can chop what ever you want and give it time to recover a bit.

Then flip it to flower.

If you have already flipped it you should probably super crop
