With the growing of cannabis becoming legal in certain countries/states etc, has any breeder tried to for example remake skunk#1 ,haze, northern lights,,but with fresh new landrace base stock,,?
The populations could be larger for better selection in a non clandestine operation,
I have read about people trying to get the “old school stinky skunk” back through existing genetics, maybe starting afresh with a new larger gene pool might work also?
obviously a lot of modern strains share common ancestry at some point wether it be skunk, northern lights,,etc. I fresh start might result in better ,healthier strains for the future,,
it would be cool if someone had the space and time to breed skunk again knowing what we know now,
anyway just thinking out loud ,!
