Rehab ?

As you all know my life has not been on a
correct path lately, i live with my mother and she has decided I go to rehab, since she thinks bud is the reason for most of my problems. She now has it set up to where I fly to Florida a week from now.

So I searched up what is rehab like and I didn't find any results/reviews which were made by real people who actually went just websites explaining frequently asked questions.

So I ask if there is anyone who has went to rehab, what is rehab really like ?

Is it bad, full of junkies fighting and what not ?

Are there drugs in rehab ?

Will I have my own room or a roommate ?
Do they make you exercise ?

Is the food good ?
Will I be bossed around ?
Will I be able to leave the center sometimes ?
Is there internet, video games, or anything entertaining?

Yes go now 100% sure it will help not fucking around get off the internet and go, unless you are using the internet to find rehab....go now.....no internet you can probably play games but they wont want you in contact with people like me so o internet....go now...go now ....go now ....go now ....it is the best thing you can do for your life...go now...go now

since you will not have much of a say in anything, YES, you will be bossed around. NO there will not be drugs (wtf kind of question is that?). Hopefully you will have to exercise. NO you won't be able to leave.


skywalker, is this story true or did you make it up? when do you leave? this may be the best thing that ever happened to you if you keep an open mind and choose to start learning from adults about your attitude and approach.

I don't really wanna go all the way to florida, but I'm supposed to be leaving the Monday after this Monday a week from now basically, I could've went today, but my mom wanted me to have a phone that has service, before I go so far away.

There have been several times in my life where I have been in and around these places. Had to take my wife to one to get her off pain med. There are some excelent places to get your life together and some that are not so good... You will be treated like a suicide/drug overdoser in that you can't have your own stuff - not even a toothbrush for possible suicide... If you are placed for drug addiction understand their stance on marijuana is that you are taking a dangerous addictive drug. You will have a hard time getting released if you fight the system and or try to get them to believe herb is a good drug for people to use. Work with the people as best you can. Go to ALL of the sessions and Participate. Be positive in the way your new life will be when you get out. Make plans to improve your life - possibly new friends, going to church, etc.

Make it a good experience for yourself instead of a nightmare. Be at peace as much as you can. Don't fight the system - figure out how to work with it for now.

I just wanna go because I heard they can set me up with an independent living when I get out, you know a good job, my own place, etc.

Sounds like it may be a good place. Very cool they assist in getting a job, etc. Sounds like a place that has it's act together.

Most rehabs suck. Unless your pretty wealthy
Then they suck a bit less, can even be vacation depending mindset.

Use it to find you. Tv if allowed is limited bed times meal times etc. Very structured, and they will believe everything they do to have a purpose, train you for outside world or take your mind off etc. Its best to roll with it

Funding is usually very low and possibly provided by your services. Many do "charity" meaning if you ask for help they wont refuse so long as a spot is available. This doesnt help the situation.
Most there are either there because they were forced by loved ones or our fabulous judicial system. Some even to take advantage of food and the roof.

And these are the pleasant ones. Some do have drug problems, some just want your money, terrible to you. Some have very strict rules and questionable punishments. Some are absolutely horrible and "themed".. oh please let it just be a "vacation spot"

Im not going to one out here, they wouldn't accept me since I was basically being forced, I'm flying to a private facility in Florida, according to my mom.
