Reflective paints

Has anyone used elastomeric roofing paint? It is very heat repellent, and has a suppossed reflectivity of 90%. Curious for first hand experience reports.

Never used it, but what is your grow area size and ventilation like? You may be just trapping the heat is all.

I agree with rkm. The heat repellent thing is a detriment, not a good thing. Unless you're going to put up mylar or something, stick to flat white paint. There's a reflectivity chart (can't remember where) that shows flat white right near the top of the list. Mylar beats it, but not much else.

Well, I don't know. I'd never heard of it before. I use flat white paint and I have healthy plants so ... I just go with that. I'm always looking for improvements, but, like you, I'd like to hear someone's experience first. Anyone tried this paint?
