Reduce canna a&b (N) in flower ?

Hi guys,

I have a auto critical orange punch which is reaching its third week of flower, everything is going well but the leaves are starting to look quite dark.
No signs of claws yet but bud production has slowed right down.
Im using canna A and B at 3.5ml/L in pure coco but need to get the (N) down a little bit, should i just keep going as i am or would it be advisable to lower the feed to 2.5ml/L and add a reduced amount of pk 13/14.

All advice is appreciated :weed:

How old is she all together, and what size container are you using? Looks like you could be running out of root space causing everything to slow way down. Couple that with possibly adding more nutrient to try and boost her and you might be headed for a train wreck or at the least unfrosted Buds. This occurs because the feeder hairs on her roots die off as the plant becomes root bound, leading to deficiencies in nutrient uptake and circulation of the available nutrients. This will eventually lead to salt toxicity while the plant looks starved! Hope that helps possibly solve your riddle. Three keys to success are Root Space, pH, and correct irrigation. When it comes to nutrients less is best I always say! Happy growing

Thank you for your reply, and sorry for the delay in responding. She is in a 12L fabric pot.
Running out of root space would make sense but luckily there was a couple of inches below the top of the pot so i have filled with as much coco as possible so she can grow some new roots.
I should have thought about the size of the pot before getting a xxl strain.

I don't see anything wrong with your plant; it's a sativa leaner, which means it's going to take time. Patience is the key. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply, yeah she is a hybrid. I had my fingers crossed for a indica pheno and now she is reaching for the stars.
I was more worried about the color of the leaves, from previous experience the next step is shineyness and then the claw but so far she just puts her head down and keeps on going. (At her own pace)
Will make sure to get a bigger pot for my next xxl strain and try to stick to something that is more indica.

Been using the full Canna line (coco) and absolutely love their products. I would definitely recommend reducing your A & B.. You are feeding 13.3 ML A&B per gallon... levels that high are almost NEVER necessary from my experience. I’ve gone through about 200 7 gallon pot plants, about 20 different strains (and loss more phenos of each) and I have found that the MAX I’ve ever NEEDED, was 10-11 ML A & B per gallon, so somewhere around 2.7 ml per liter should be ideal.

And depending on your starting water, you can use SLIGHTLY more B than A if necessary, but as of now, I would advise against it. I would just bump the AB usage down a bit, and be ready to apply PK 13/14 during the ideal week and a half that it is most beneficialBest of luck

Thank you for your advice, its my second time growing in coco and first using a,b and pk. I will take the feeds down and see how she goes :lol:

With canna line up follow their chart. I do not use pk before week 4-5, need to wait the plants are fully enter the flowering stage and transition from vedge is finish. i feed heavy a-b until week 5 and switch to normal feed when introducing my pk week.
