Red spectrum even for vegetation

First post here. This is also going to be my first time growing weed. I'm going to have my seeds delivered next week and have a 60x45x40cm stealthbox set up. I've ordered a 125w CFL light with a red spectrum-basically a light for flowering. My question is: is this going to majorly effect the vegetation phase of my plants? I know I should put them under a blue light for vegetation, but I barely have the cash for this red light. Should I really buy a blue light? Cause I know people have success using just an HPS-light, which is also "red".
