looking at purchasing a dry herb vaporizer or 2 for my birthday. im usually a bong guy but after quitting cigarettes' for a vape a couple years ago i would like to try and do the same while medicating. i have had a couple portable models in the past but was less than impressed but down to try again only with nicer models.

so what dry herb vapes would yall recommend in these price ranges or am i completely off base
portable $100-$200
desktop $300-$500

also things i consider positives are optional dab rigs, percolators, and the sort

Well, if you have the cash, Volcanoes are pretty sweet. I've had multiple Arizer-desktop models-that were super functional. I need a new one too and I'll probably get an entry level Arizer-I LOVE the big bags of vape though. I have zero experience with portable, I'm scared those Chinese batteries will explode my crotch.

I rock a Pax2.
What sold me was the flavours you get from a dry flower vape.
Super low key device.
Almost unseen as you use it.

I second both the Volcano and the Mighty, I have both and they're first rate.

The Volcano has been my main driver for more than 15 years, can't beat the comfort of sitting back with a balloon of vapour.

The Mighty just keeps giving great hits, its like the weed gets more potent the more you hit it.

Volcano if you have the cash, otherwise an Extreme-Q for home. In order of my preference, Arizer Solo 2/Air 2, Mighty, Flowermate Mini, Pax. And don't forget StickyBrick, NV Flowerpot, Terp Torch, and DynaVap.

I have an Extreme Q boxed up somewhere... Hasn't been used in about a year since I find I was getting more mileage from bong tokes. Paid ~$180 Canadian shipped when I got it IIRC. Anyone else find that they use more bud in this thing than they would smoking?

Going to bring it out of storage since I'll be harvesting my first grow in a few years over the next month or so. Have been coughing up tarry looking shiyt for far too long. I could really afford to give my lungs a break lol

My doctor advise me that I can do it the easy way or the hard way. COPD is no joke. The screens that came with my EQ were too small. Need to be at least 1 inch diameter. I stack into a glass lung (dry bong) and pop the carb for a bigger rip.

I love my ARGO for on the go. ArGo_group_WHT-01.jpg
I have an Arizer Extreme Q for a desktop. It's nice because it comes with bags or a whip but to be honest I usually just grab the ARGO even when sitting on the couch.

The Vapor Brothers original (https://www.vaporbrothers.com/vaporbrothers-vapor-box-desktop-vaporizer-standard_ProductID_8641) is a real quality unit. I bought one in 2011 and it's still going strong. Made in USA and they take great care to make sure the heating unit doesn't add any undesirable fumes or offgassing. Some of the cheaper ones are made in China and who knows what materials they use in the heating unit.

Had a warranty issue a few years back, they fixed it for free quickly. Excellent company.

My Enano has been amazing to me. 3 year warranty and made in NA. I have had mine on basically non stop for 5 years and it has never failed me. Easily adaptable for glass as well.
