recommend a good horror flick...

please people, recommend some good horror movies... preferably within the last two years... trying to find something for the wife and i to watch tonight, and am tired of watching these movies to the end just to be disappointed by a lack of plot, or just stupidity.... please try to include why you recommend it; without spoiling anything:leaf:

i recomended these movies {except for the last one} because i can watch and enjoy them without being high, where as most of the POS movies comming out these days, i got a have a bong rip to enjoy and or stay interested

thanks bro... +rep for knowing im not smoking and taking that into consideration.... im gonna go with zombie's halloween though... cause i meant to watch it when it came out, but never got around to it... i love rob zombies style

28 days later is the only recent horror movie ive seen. it was pretty good...28 weeks later is alright

28 days later has a pretty solid plot, it builds on the theory that a virus would turn people zombie-like instead of actually walking dead people. i enjoyed this because it felt a *bit* more realistic. its gory but not over the top

28 weeks later alone is not as good imo but is a good sequel

strangly the devil's regects did not apeal to me very much, but i might give rob another chance

try the descent. it was VERY good...its about a group of women that go caving together and theres these mutant human monster things down there that end up hunting them...but in some of the parts where they're going thru really really tight spaces...man...really makes u feel claustrophobic! hmmm silent hill was pretty good, black xmas, i really liked shutter, if u dont mind the independant films that work on a bit of a smaller budget i would recommend some of the after dark horrorfest movies like the hamiltons, wicked little things, unrest...hmm joshua isnt exactly a horror movie...more of a drama/thriller but it was pretty good too...i liked 30 days of night...im sure i'll think of a few more later...lol but its a start!

high tension was an awesome movie...i really recommend that one too...and amityville...a remake that was really well done i thought...

This one is not a horror flick, but one of the best movies I've seen in a few years.
a must see, it's called second best.

rob zombie's halloween was FREAKIN AWESOME.... i hated all the halloween movies, but rob does it with his own flair.... amazing... highly recommend it if you have not seen it yet..

wolf creek, hills have eyes 1 + 2, the omen 1 - 4 hostel 1 + 2 slither, saw 1 - ? all great horror movies

Wolf creek freaked the fuck out of me. i dont know there was somthing about it. like the camera was shot differently or somthing. too realistic. creepy shit.

I dont know if youd consider these horrors but either Ted Bundy or The Hill Side Strangler will freak you out a little. sick.
