Rear Projection T.V. Lights

Is using a rear projection t.v.'s lights good for your plant? i.e. the red and blue light spectrums. Roommate is throwing one out.... figured if its good, keep it around.

now thats a nice Q. i wanna hear answers on that. surely they would cost fuck all to run.

its been a little while since i popped mine open, but im pretty sure they are just an incandescent light. not much better than a colored flood light.
Im waiting for it to stop working then im gonna turn it into a sweet grow box. mines huge 65" theres tons of space inside. Damn thing just refuses to die tho.
