Really Need Some Help

My plant is about one month and one week old. I already know its stretched,(i moved the light closer), but im going to fix that when i re-pot it. Im not using any fertilizers right now, but i need to know why my plant is curling up like this. Yes. It is a seedling i found in a bag, i use room temp water, I dont know the ph of my water but its from a well. Im using a 60w grow light for now, The light is about 3 1/2'' away and the leaves do feel a bit dry. I water once or twice a week. Mainly need to know if the light is to close. I think i will zlst in when i re-pot. (Or is that a bad idea?)

When leaf edges curl it is usually a sign the plant is thirsty and struggling to retain moisture. How much water are you giving and how do you decide when it is time to water. And what medium is she in and how much of it?

that "high 5" , with the branch sticking up, is a sign of under-developed roots, i do believe, but i'm not sure. as long as she's green and growing, don't worry. start LST'ing when you have a few nodes, and plant height is good for bending over.

its about a foot tall but real leggy im getting new soil, ACTUAL soil this weekend right now im using mainly sand and maybe a 8 fl. oz. cup of soil. i already know the soil im using now probably not good for the plant cause grass barely grows in sand. but im not sure what medium means. SORRY I'M A TRUE BEGINNER.

BKBBUDZ, I think this is where you insert your video.....

Squirrel, get a bag of Fox Farms Ocean Forrest and a three gallon pot. Do it now. Get some real light on that thing. Do it now. If all you can afford is CFL, go CFL, but,....do it now.

The best suggestion I can offer is to read, study, plan and act. There is tons of info and great folks to help here on RIU. I suggest starting with the stickies in the Newbie Central and Gen. Marijuan Growing forums. Also, please click the link in my signature. Tons of How-To videos from master growers. Best of luck!

I would not be inclined to possibly add to the problem with nutes at this point. I would however do some real research on the soil you are getting and how to transplant. RIU and Google searches work very well.

just watched your video i have a pump that will work i already bloom booster for later but need some nutrients to put in the water now what would you suggest? or are they pretty much the same and im getting some lava rocks tomorrow and hopefully have my new little setup setup after this weekend
