What's happening faster, air going into the room or the air exiting? If the air going in is waiting for its turn to leave then you may need to reverse that and make sure that you have neg pressure in your room....where the air around the room is always trying to get in thus no smells escape.

Or a leak...

Or a shitty filter?

Just my 2 cents:bigjoint:

Keep in mind that if your humidity is above round 60%, carbon filters aren't that effective. And I get carbon for my homemade filters in the aquarium area of petstore.

If you made the filter yourself you need to check it again to make sure all the air is flowing WHERE and THROUGH where you want it.

ok took the filter off found out I can't refill it with carbon!! It Has no port for it!! Maybe I am hooking this up wrong!! The filter is in good shape I looked it over!! It has lots of carbon in it also!! Now my question is do I pull or push air threw this thing I have the air being pulled threw it!! Should I flip it and push the air threw it!! Here is a link to the filter!!http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=52570 Thanks this is driving me nuts!! Alsohe filter be up high in the grow area or should it be more on the ground?

do you have a cooltube? do you have a powered intake? If you have a cooltube, hook an exhaust line up to one side of the cooltube that leads out of the box.. make sure there are NO LEAKS ANYWHERE.. Then attatch your filter to the other side of your cooltube.. Agan,i make sure there are no leaks.. Most people keep there filter at the top because it is used for venting hot air and hot air rises. Attach your fan so that it SUCKS air THROUGH your filter.. You can put the fan outside of the box or you can put it between your cooltube and the vent.. Jsut be sure it is sucking air through the filter .
Also,If you have a powered intake, turn it off or remove the intake fan etc and leave it as just a passive intake.. This will cause the air in the room/tent to become a vacuum and no smell should escape except after it passes through your filter and out of the box.
