This was one of the thought experiments that Einstein pondered that led to special relativity. As your ship cannot travel the speed of light but we can pretend that it travels at 99.9% of c, you still would measure the speed of light as c. Every outside observer will also measure the photons to be going c.

Taking the opposite direction as cn, and assuming that we as the observers are traveling along with you, then when you flip the switch, nothing will appear to have happened, even though the lights are working. In fact, you couldn't even see the high beam switch unless it was directly in front of you and you were facing in the same direction as the ship is traveling. All you should see is a small dot of light directly in front of the ship.

Which would be hard to pick out from the universe, which has collapsed into an unbearably brilliant gamma-blue point source in front of you. cn

Dude I've done that. I have a 1996 Accord and I was almost going the speed of light one day and my check engine light came on. I took it in to the mechanic and he couldn't understand why the light came on. Hope that helps.

If you go faster then the speed of Light, I think you just go in reverse. Speed and Light TO me are the same. Thye both go. But where o' where do they Go? Furtur. future is ungraspable, yet i believe we live in it.
 
I mean if you go so fast that eventually you would hit the "Edge of the Universe" and just reflect back towards nothingness. Or what ever you would call where you came from.

First of all Sir, the place I came from is not called nothingness, nothingness is in Los Angeles. I came from a small suburb in San Diego, Ca. It goes by the name of Clairemont and it is very close to the center of the Universe. If you were to venture out near to the 'edge' of the Universe, you and all of your parts would be suddenly yanked back with a neck snapping tug towards a nearby galaxy to be enslaved by the very uncivil inhabitants camped out there. They would take your belongings and then subject you to a cavity search with the hope of finding some Skittles or Lifesavers tucked into your creases. Do not go anywhere near to the sides or the edge of the Universe unless you have purchased the correct form of supplemental insurance and are willing to barter your internal organs for favors. However if you do go please contact me as I have some in-laws that you can take with you as bartering currency. Live long and prosper.
