Ready for harvest? Purpled trichomes

I know I just made a similar thread but this is for an entirely different plant. Are these trichomes good to be harvested? It looks like they decay to be purple instead of amber. Is there such thing as a purple trichome, or am I just seeing clear ones with a purple leaf behind them? This was Star Pupil, the inside of the buds are hot pink like I’ve never seen before. Does she need more time?

Thanks guys, I planted her at the same time as another whom was ready today. Probably a little ahead of myself. I look at the trichomes everywhere not only the fan leaves. I didn’t see too big of a difference, except that a lot of the leaf trichomes are missing heads.

Any pics of said plant ready today?

When the pistils (white hairs) recede more it will be easier to just get a view of the fattened calyxs. The trichomes on the leaves develop faster but its the ones on the calyxs that matter.

Really, trichs are only one part of the decision on when i harvest. The calyxs will fatten up until almost every pistil is receded so you can get quite a bit of weight packed on in those last few weeks.

The reason there are missing heads is because someone has been squeezing their buds
Looking at leaf Trichs tells you nothing
You surely harvested to early if you think the one pictured is even close
Sorry
Weeks to go

No, sometimes watering can remove heads too. I sampled a small bud at the bottom for this post. Im very careful with my nugs. I have NOT harvested yet. The point of the post was to get a yes/no answer. I’ll give her a few more weeks before chopping. Thanks everyone, stay lifted!

Yes, but it was an entirely different strain. Here are pics of solfires Bigblack banana. The plant in original post is star pupil by mass medical.

Even then I spray the fan leaves not the buds. Missing trichome heads isn’t really a problem I have. Just noticed the ones on the fan leaves tend to be damaged. Hydro peroxide at 1 tbsp per liter of water is misted on the lower leaves to give them a small rinse. I read the extra oxygen molecule helps prevent mold and bacteria, and helps your plant absorb nutes in the water.

@BobThe420Builder @SpawnOfShulgin So it’s been about 2 weeks. I have a better picture of the trichomes and of the buds. Pretty much all hairs have browned. I’m trying to find amber trichomes but there’s just an overwhelming amount of purple ones. Would either of you say it’s ready now, or should I give her even more time?

You are definitely within the window of what would be reasonable. If i were you id wait, another week or so. As the buds ripen the hairs will keep receding amd the calyxes will keep fattening up and swelling.

Its really hard to predict how long to wait, and its also kind of a matter of preference.

No matter if you chop today or wait a week, you will have some fire bud.

I have never seen trichs that color before. I am a bit jealous.
