OK so there I was staring into the Beauty of what WAS my 4 female plants at about week 4 of flower...
And BANG, I noticed what looked identical to a seed pod or hermie growth on the under side of every single one of my buds (across 4 mainlined/topped plants).
I couldn't see any pistils coming out of them and my heart dropped, as my other tent was raped by fungus gnats (they will be fine but fuck those gnats anyway).
I damn near cried and ran inside to scour for hours on the internet to make certain that it was a hermie, but hoped for the best.
Nothing I searched in the beginning was returning anything that helped my situation, and then I found a few old threads from RIU forums...
I had seen a thousand pictures of hermie plants by now and not one of my plants had a cluster of balls it was just one single ball so it had me fucked as to what it could be and my light schedules were all over the shop you could imagine the panic!
Anybody worked out what it was yet?
Or would you have chopped the cunt down already?
So an hour of heavy reading later I discovered that what I had at the bottom of my buds was nothing more than a simple Calyx with the smallest amber hairs coming out of it.
Moral to the story is...
I've seen a million posts of people pulling plants at this point because nobody had the answers that they were seeking, make damn sure it isn't a Calyx before you chop what you presume to be a hermie.
The pistils were almost invisible to the naked eye so I busted out the trusty 60x zoom, and there it was...
Sorry if this post wasn't as exciting as you had hoped, HOWEVER I hope this scenario never happens to you and I hope that if it does somehow that you can rule out every avenue properly before simply throwing 3 months of growth away.
