Great idea if you like smoking tortilla with your buds. 
Just dampen some paper towel and put it in the jar. I cut a nice square piece then fold it into a pad and scotch tape it inside the lid of jars for my personal stashes. Few drops of water and the next day al re-hydrated.
A buddy tossed a half loaf of bread into a garbage full of untrimmed bud and ruined the whole bag. He never was the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Depends how much you're rehydrating. A gram in a film can can simply be huffed on and have the can sealed while it's lined in condensation. The results are impressive.

as long as you realize its very temporary, once bud drops below a certain mositure %, you can't "rehydrate" it, you can get it moist, but the second you leave it sitting out, its back to the way it was. best bet is an airtight container once its the right percentage of moisture to begin with

best is marijuana stems (the thick ones) that are slightly damp.
or orange peels work too.
doesn't change the cure though, but does keep less of the herb from pyrolictic destruction
if it's too dry you end up igniting the thc/herb rather then smoking it

with pipe tobacco we would stick a slice of apple in the bag to keep it moist. don't know if it would work with cannabis. I use a vaporizer now and like my buds dry for that. can't smoke cannabis. need to vape it
